Google Fi Welcome Pack

Role: Design Lead

Scope: Concept Generation, Packaging Design, CMF, Tool-ready CAD

When Google launched their new network-agnostic SIM card technology they wanted a way to thank their first subscribers. They tapped brand and graphic agency Turner Duckworth, who partnered with Box Clever, to create a welcome pack that would arrive on their customer's doorstep a couple weeks after receiving their Fi-enabled Nexus phone. The end result was three mobile accessories neatly packaged in colorful trays within a paper pulp box inspired by the bento box. Once the accessories had been removed, the stackable trays could be mixed, matched and repurposed for any number of uses, preventing the packaging from becoming landfill. Not only does this create a fun out-of-box experience, it created another touch point that deepened their customers' relationship with the brand.
